Excelsior Springs is sending four athletes to the Class 4 state track and field meet, scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City.Kinley Rogers and Reese Ryan will represent Excelsior Springs on the girls side. Kolin Kincaid and Luke Milledge will compete in the boys portion of the meet. They secured their respective spots at Sectional 4 competition May 24 in Blue Springs. Per Missouri State High School Activities Association regulations, the top four finishers in each event at sectionals qualified for state.Rogers qualified in three events – the discus, shot put and javelin. She won the discus by throwing 39.8 meters. She placed second in both the javelin and shot put.Ryan qualified in the long jump, placing fourth.
