Odessa got Excelsior Springs again in varsity boys tennis.Less than two weeks after falling to the Bulldogs 6-3 at Excelsior Springs, the Tigers lost to Odessa 5-0 Monday in the dual, or “team,” portion of the Class 1 District 4 Tournament. The road defeat ended their season.Excelsior Springs finished 6-6 in duals. The six victories are the program’s most since 2023, when the Tigers finished 10-7.“The season was good, considering we graduated four seniors from last year’s team,” Tigers coach Richie Marsh stated Tuesday via email. “The underclassmen played well, and the future is bright for ES tennis.”The team portion of districts followed the singles and doubles (a.k.a., “individual”) portion, held April 30 at Excelsior Springs.
