Excelsior Springs placed three cross country runners in the top 10 in varsity races Sept. 12 at the Marshall Invitational.On the boys side, senior Silas O’Dell ran the 3.1-mile course in a season-best 20 minutes, 16.04 seconds to finish fourth overall, followed by junior Liam Hedding, who took fifth in 20:18.61. Junior Kirsten Stout, Excelsior Springs’ lone varsity girls runner, placed eighth in 25:16.92.Juniors William Tade and Conrad Purnell also ran in the varsity boys race.
