The varsity basketball season is over for Excelsior Springs.The Tigers’ season ended with a loss Monday in the first round of districts. The boys fell to Smithville 75-45 Feb. 25, to Oak Grove 62-56 Feb. 26 and to Cameron 55-44 Feb. 28 – all on the road.Excelsior Springs stayed close for the first quarter against Smithville, trailing 14-13 entering the second quarter.
