Excelsior Springs has outdone itself this season in varsity boys soccer.With Monday’s home rout of Raytown South, the Tigers had won five straight entering a Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division meeting Wednesday with Kearney on the road – their longest winning streak this season. They opened by winning four straight.The latest winning streak included two wins last week. On Sept. 30, Excelsior Springs edged Independence-based Truman 4-3 at Tiger Stadium. The boys then cruised 7-2 Oct. 3 at Smithville.Excelsior Springs rallied for the win over Truman, as the Patriots took the opening lead in the fourth minute.
