Tigers hope 2020 gridiron reps will pay off in 2021

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers have high expectations this football season, based in part on what happened last season. “A lot of our kids have had a thousand repetitions, and with what we do, that is going to be a big benefit for us this year,” coach Mark Faubion said. The Tigers with game reps include four offensive linemen: senior Clay Howerton at center, juniors Carson Polley and Ryan Gluhm at guard, and Tristan Gilbert. Juniors Blake Barber and Lance Brown will vie for the left tackle position. Junior Chance Moreland, who finished 2020 at quarterback, will look to continue leading the offense this season. Seniors Ayden Dolt and Lukas Shelton will be expected to continue carrying the ball. Senior Dacey Hall will slide over to receiver after suffering an injury at quarterback during 2020’s 3-5 campaign and will be counted on to make plays in passing situations, along with junior Gavin Wilmes. “Dacey has the capabilities of moving inside and outside to make plays for us,”…
