Tigers impress Danneman at scrimmages
Excelsior Springs varsity football coach Jake Danneman was impressed with how his Tigers concluded their series of June 7-on-7 scrimmage sessions at Kearney.“We had shown quite the improvement over the weeks on both sides of the ball,” Danneman stated Monday via email. “Our receivers and QBs were clicking in their timing. Defensively, we showed a lot of growth over the sessions each day. Our kids are responding to our coaches and it shows in the execution on the field.”Like Excelsior Springs’ other athletic programs, the football program is in a dead period this week.
