Excelsior Springs’ Class 4 state quarterfinal run in baseball produced two all-state honors: one for Lucas Dillman, one for Brendan Blackburn. The honors were among a plethora of awards the Tigers received. Those awards included eight all-district selections. Blackburn, Dillman, Broc Dusek, Colson Moore and Hunter Scoma made the first team. Mason Danner, Ryne Marcum and Seth Barton each received honorable mention. In addition, seven Tigers received all-conference honors. Blackburn and Dillman made the first team. Marcum and Scoma made the second team. Kian Dollins, Danner and Zeb McBee received honorable mention. And academic allconference awards went to Blackburn, Danner, Dillman, Moore, McBee, Marcum, Scoma, Jacob Bright and Klayton Glaspy.
