The varsity volleyball season has ended for Excelsior Springs coach Cindy Price and her Tigers.The Tigers finished 7-19-1. Their finale was a 3-2 loss to Knob Noster Tuesday at Excelsior Springs in Class 3 District 15 Tournament action. Look for additional coverage Nov. 1 in The Standard.Excelsior Springs entered districts having split their last two regular-season matches – a 3-2 Oct. 15 road loss to Grandview and a 3-0 Oct. 17 home sweep of Raytown South.The Tigers dropped the first two sets of their loss to Grandview (2515, 25-19) and won the next two (25-16, 27-25) to force a tiebreaker. The Bulldogs downed the Tigers 15-7 in the finale.Sophomore setter Lillah Shue directed Excelsior Springs’ attack with 34 total assists.
