Excelsior Springs football fans might see a familiar face if they watch Kansas City’s Black Friday game with Las Vegas.Sam Webb, a 2016 Excelsior Springs High School graduate, remained on Las Vegas’ active roster as of press time. Webb, who signed with that franchise in 2022 as an undrafted free agent, has bounced between the Raiders’ active roster and their practice squad during his pro career. He also spent a brief stint with Carolina in 2023.Webb started the 2024 NFL season on Las Vegas’ practice squad. The Raiders activated him and then reverted him back to the practice squad twice early in the season before signing him to their active roster in late September.The last time Webb was listed as active for a game, however, was in Week 5, when Las Vegas lost to Denver 34-18 at Empower Field at Mile High in AFC West Division action.
