Tigers clamp down on D for victory

A red zone stand helped Excelsior Springs secure its first win of the varsity 11-man football season. As coach Jake Danneman recalled Monday, the Tigers led Raytown South 9-6 late in the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals were threatening to score.

BE HOME SOON Excelsior Springs varsity softball coach Megan Gilbertson and her Tigers will soon be home for a while – for the most part. After four straight road games scheduled for this week, the girls will return to Miracle Field to host a tournament Saturday.

Excelsior Springs rebounds from Lawson loss
