Charge follows gunfire in Excelsior Springs

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Allegedly firing and then pointing a weapon in Excelsior Springs resulted in Kaleb G. McIntosh, 19, Excelsior Springs, facing a felony charge.

“Everything turned out well. Nobody was injured,” Capt. Robert Warner reported April 15 to the City Council.

Reasons for the incident near an apartment complex in the Westview area are sketchy.

Girls, boys third at Kearney Invitational

KEARNEY – When it came to the team standings, the Tigers were consistent April 8 at the Kearney Invitational, with the boys and girls teams both placing third. “We picked up 40 personal records on the day,” coach Jonah Albertson said.

ESHS softballer signs with Park U.

Jacob Schmidt was incorrectly identified on second reference in our April 8 issue in listing the three Excelsior Springs medalists at the Winnetonka Tournament. Ethan Edwards placed sixth, Schmidt was seventh and Eli Smith placed 15th in the tournament.
