The Excelsior Springs Historic Preservation Commission is accepting nominations for their Historic Preservation Awards Program. Awards will be given for two categories, Commercial and Residential. Property owners who have made significant improvements to historic properties may be nominated by anyone in the community. Award winners in 2022 included Gary and Kim Sanson for Preservation of an Investment Property at 407 E Broadway Ave. This was the first time the commission had awarded an investment property owner. The property was sold to a family who has made it their home.
