ES man released from custody
An Excelsior Springs man has been released from custody on his own recognizance as he awaits a scheduled plea hearing.David D. Tucker, 33, is facing one felony charge of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle. Additionally, he has been charged with one misdemeanor of resisting or interfering with an arrest, detention or stop.Tucker recently appeared before Judge Shane T. Alexander of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court to request a bond modification. With no objections from the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office, Judge Alexander agreed to release Tucker on his own recognizance, provided he resides in a sober living facility, such as an Oxford House, and fully complies with all the rules and conditions of that residency.Tucker must also be supervised by Midwest Alcohol and Drug Prevention and will be placed on electronic monitoring and house arrest.
