Excelsior Springs High School’s Class of 1973 gathered to celebrate their 50th reunion over Homecoming weekend Oct. 6-8. The celebration started as over 50 classmates were welcomed at the ES Museum for a “Meet and Greet” Friday morning. Classmates began catching up and reminiscing as if everyone was 18 again! The museum prepared an interactive touch screen display of the class which included yearbooks, elementary composites, past reunion pictures, obituaries and military history which will be added to and maintained. The celebration continued as the group walked to Ventana’s for lunch. The noise was deafening with talk and laughter! In the “Spirit” of Homecoming, the class climbed aboard the truck with trailer and trolley to participate in the parade. Then on to tailgating at the high school game with close to 100 enjoying friends and food together. Saturday morning, the group was up early decorating the venue, One Step At A Time.
