An Excelsior Springs man has been sentenced to four years after pleading guilty to one felony charge of delivering a controlled substance.Gary W. Gillispie II, 39, was initially charged with the felony of second-degree drug trafficking but reached a plea agreement with the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office. Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Shane T. Alexander accepted the guilty plea and sentenced Gillispie to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the felony charge of delivering a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.The Clay County Prosecutor’s Office released the probable cause statement from Clay County Sheriff’s Office Detective Kenneth Stieh, which stated officers received information about a residence where narcotics were being used and sold, located at 1001 Rowell Street Apartment Four in Excelsior Springs.
