Kehoe urges REAL ID, deadline approaching

With the REAL ID enforcement deadline of May 7 approaching, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe is urging residents to enhance the security of state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards by obtaining a REAL ID-compliant card.“Starting on May 7, a REAL ID, passport or another approved identification will be required to fly and enter federal buildings,” said Kehoe. “This is about keeping our state and country safe by preventing fraud and enhancing security. We appreciate the Trump administration and Secretary Noem for enforcing federal law to help keep American travelers safe. The Missouri Department of Revenue stands ready to assist Missourians with obtaining a REAL ID.”After May 7, residents of every U.S. state and territory must present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, ID card or another form of ID accepted by the Transportation Security Administration to board federally regulated domestic flights.
