Several Excelsior Springs facilities and establishments have been recognized for their food and pool safety efforts in 2025.

Clay County Public Health Center recently announced the recipients of its Food Safety Excellence and Pool Safety Excellence awards, which recognize facilities that meet safety requirements and achieve exceptional inspection results throughout the year.

Local recipients of the Food Safety Excellence Award included Excelsior Springs Middle School, Lewis Elementary, Meet The Need Opportunity Cafe and Coffee, Price Chopper deli, Ray’s Diner, Tiger Bowl, Walmart Supercenter No. 195 bakery, Willow Spring Mercantile and Warbird Whiskey.

The award recognizes establishments that successfully follow the Clay County Food Code, demonstrate outstanding food safety and sanitation practices and achieve exceptional inspection results.
