Council OKs more CARES Act funding for community groups

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Three Excelsior Springs nonprofit organizations have been awarded Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act funding. The City Council approved grants to the Slightly Off Broadway Theatre, Excelsior Springs Museum and Alcoholics Anonymous in town.

THE 92ND ANNUAL Bill Payne Halloween Party in Excelsior Springs has been called off – like many other traditional events in Clay and Ray counties – because of the continuing threat from COVID-19.

Liberty Hospital receives award

LIBERTY – Liberty Hospital has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2020. Liberty Hospital is one of only 140 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.
