JEFFERSON CITY – Seeing lawmakers in masks, especially when tax dollars and budgeting are mentioned, might draw raised eyebrows and snide comments at other times, but not in the age of the coronavirus, COVID-19.
GROCERY STORES remain open as most of America is shut down. But going to the grocery store should not be used as a pleasure trip. Social distancing still applies – perhaps more so, because everyone needs to eat and that brings crowds to stores. Since the coronavirus is most commonly transferred through other people, the CDC advises the public to plan trips at a time when stores are least crowded.
