ALBERT “PETE” ANDERSON
Albert “Pete” Anderson, 87, of Excelsior Springs went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2023.
He was born on June 2, 1935, in Hardin to Charles and Frances Anderson.
Pete served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was a proud veteran and often shared stories about his time in the service.
Pete retired as a millwright from Corn Products in Kansas City. He was a hard-working man who took pride in his job. He loved his family and made many cherished memories with them, roller skating at Skateland, camping at Down Under Campground in Turney and traveling across the United States to several USS Walter B. Cobb ship reunions. He also spent a lot of time “junking,” and his family will remember him as a jack-of-all-trades who was quick to help anyone. His love of pranks and storytelling will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances Anderson; his siblings; Skip, Donnie, Mary, Jimmy and Jody; and his son, Carl Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Glennidean; his children, Marcia (Jim) Deal and Jeff (Kelly) Anderson; his grandchildren, Ryan Deal, Janelle (James) Wynn, Derek Deal, Curtis Anderson, Briana Deal, Crystal Anderson, Tonnie (Brandon) Peoples and Jacob Anderson; and several great-grandchildren.
Pete gave his life to the Lord in 1973. He was a longstanding member of Woodland Baptist Church. His legacy of faith will continue in his family for generations to come.
