Wilbur Dean Brockhoff, 77, of Excelsior Springs, MO, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at home. 

Wilbur was born on Dec. 23, 1943, in Kansas City, MO, the son of the late Charles (Carl) Jacob Martin Brockhoff and Mayme Anna Fredericka Brockhoff. Wilbur was raised in the Concordia, Mo area and graduated from Concordia High School in 1961. As a child, Wilbur was a member of St Matthew Lutheran Church in Ernestville, MO. On March 7, 1964, he married M. Kay McGowan. In 1971, they became members of Mt Calvary Lutheran Church. Wilbur enjoyed playing cards with his buddies & grandchildren, especially pinochle. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and antiquing.  

Wilbur was preceded in death by both sisters; Doris Hemme & Loretta Mueller as well as three nephews. Wilbur is survived by his loving wife, Kay, three children; Cathy McIntire (Darren), DeAnna Massey (Dana), Kevin Brockhoff (Trisha), 15 nieces & nephews, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.  

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs. Service immediately following at 10:30 a.m. Reception for family only at the Methodist Church after the interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, MO. The family request, in lieu of flowers, donations to any of the following organizations in Wilbur’s name: Parkinson’s Research Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
