James Tarver ‘Jim’ Stoenner

MOUNT HOREB – James Tarver “Jim” Stoenner, 82, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 22, 1937, in Richmond, Missouri, to Dr. Walter and Jessamine (Tarver) Stoenner. His childhood was spent in Richmond surrounded by loving family, and friends he kept in contact with throughout his life.

P. Jeane (Daniels) VanDerbeek was born March 7, 1936 in the Hilldale Community of Neosho, Missouri, the daughter of James Russell and Catherine Jewel (Kirby) Daniels. She entered into rest on Feb. 13, 2020, at KU Medical Center at the age of 83.

Merry Jane Derrow


Merry Jane Derrow passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2020, surrounded by her family. Merry Jane was born on Sept. 21, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. From the day she was born, Merry Jane was a loving and happy person, much to the delight of her much older siblings. After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University, she began her long and dedicated teaching career shortly thereafter. Merry Jane taught for 13 years at Franklin Elementary in Liberty, Missouri and then found her true teaching home was in Lawson, Missouri, where she taught fourth grade for 17 years.
