Throughout summer college courses, I’ve has been challenged to think about the entrepreneurial mindset and how someone can utilize that mindset in everyday life. One thing that stands out when going through different entrepreneurial case and textbook assignments is that most entrepreneurs’ mindsets before becoming successful rely on action over planning, innovation, creativity and overcoming challenges. The more I read about it, the more I realized several careers, writing included, takes the same mindset to be successful and to gain proficiency in a specific craft. When discussing someone who has invented or formulated a product to solve a problem for others, I think about my job and experiences throughout my life’s journey. Before writing for a local newspaper, I was a farmhand. It wasn’t glamorous, but my love for helping people served me well. The product was produce and the service was my labor.
