Who would I be?
My sister asked me if I could pick a life to live – not what I am doing now or who I am currently — who would I be? It’s a loaded question. Who would I be? I mean, it seems the correct answer is to say I love where I am now and I am content with my future.
Fortunately, there is no correct answer. The question took me by surprise as I was getting ready in the morning, making my iced coffee before I got in my Jeep to head to work. My sisters are notorious for calling my phone as if I’m a genie in a lamp – they truly must believe their wish is my command.
Prior to the coffee making, I saw a missed call from her and I called back just for her to hit me with the question.
So what would I be? I was thinking about my interests and current position at the Richmond News. Something about me is that I have always loved the ocean — it is hard not to with all of its mystery.
