ES hungry for district v-ball crown
Excelsior Springs volleyball coach Kathryn Partridge senses a hunger in her Tigers this season.
Fueling that hunger is Excelsior Springs’ finish last season. In 2022, the Tigers fell short of a district title, losing to Odessa in the Class 3 District 15 finals. The Tigers feel ready to take the next step in claiming a championship this fall, according to Partridge, now in her fourth season with the program.
“The desire to win by this group of seniors is much greater, and they are hungry to get their hands on the volleyball,” Partridge said.
Seniors Baylee O’Dell, Reese Roberts, Reagan Block, Alani Price and Carly Dolt will help lead the Tigers in their quest for a district title. All return after receiving all-district honors and being named to the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division team last season.
The foursome intend to put in the time to find success, according to Block.
