EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – An estimated 200 people attended the Excelsior Springs Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.
Hosted by Mayor Sharon Powell, at the Elms Hotel and Spa on April 19, the event brought together a variety of business and area government leaders along with community members.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs School District continues to review allegations that involve how a teacher may have abused a student, the district’s deputy superintendent, Dr. Jaret Tomlinson, said Monday.
The teacher allegedly sprayed a 10-year-old with apple cider vinegar and restrained the student, based on published reports.
“I’m aware that allegation was made, but we’re currently investigating to see if there’s anything to that or not,” Tomlinson said.
The district received notice of the allegations April 11.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Allegedly firing and then pointing a weapon in Excelsior Springs resulted in Kaleb G. McIntosh, 19, Excelsior Springs, facing a felony charge.
“Everything turned out well. Nobody was injured,” Capt. Robert Warner reported April 15 to the City Council.
Reasons for the incident near an apartment complex in the Westview area are sketchy.
