Billy Joe McKown, 75, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at home.  At Billy’s request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. 
 
Billy Joe McKown was born 8/7/1946 in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was a lifelong resident of Excelsior Springs and loved hunting, fishing and fixing things for his family and friends.  He worked for Ford Motor Company and was a Teamsters Union over the road truck driver as an owner operator for Dallas Mavis Trucking. 
 

On Mar. 18, 2022, Ashley Brooke Mathews of Independence, MO gained her wings after battling an extended illness at University Health in Kansas City.  She was 38 years old.  

Ashley was born to parents Ginger and Carl, on July 30, 1983, in North Kansas City, MO.

Ricky Wayne Alexander, 61, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away on Mar. 17, 2022, at home.

Betty Jeralean Berning, 86, of Liberty, MO passed away at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home.

Shirley Sue Elam, 84, of Excelsior Springs gained her angel wings Mar. 15, 2022, at Valley Manor Nursing and Rehab in Excelsior Springs.  She was born at home to Virgil and Anna (Baker) Milligan of Knoxville, MO on Nov. 9, 1937.  She was one of nine siblings.  She married Arthur Eugene (Gene) Elam on Jan. 23, 1955, and had three children, Rhonda, Randy, and Mark, and moved to Excelsior Springs in 1964.  She was a Christian.

Rebecca Lynn Jones, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on Mar. 15, 2022. 

Rebecca was born on July 31, 1949, in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Roberta (Fellers) Eggers. 

Janet Delores Coble, 69, of Excelsior Springs, MO gained her wings on March 12th, 2022, lovingly surrounded by her family, after bravely battling cancer. She was born on September 9, 1952, in St. Joseph, MO to the late Elsie Lee and JD Coble. 

Kenneth Stephen Fousek hated to leave this world which he loved - but nonetheless God has now welcomed him home.  Ken passed from this life on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at North Kansas City Hospice.  He is survived by two sisters, Janice Ozane (Rodney) of Mitchell, South Dakota and Pam Waldner (Zach) of Huron, South Dakota, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.  

Dorothy Elizabeth Farris Bratton, 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri (formerly of Excelsior Springs) passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from complications following a fall. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am until service time.

Jimmie Dale Frost, Jr., 58, of Rayville, MO passed away on March 3, 2022. Mr. Frost was born Sept. 2, 1963, in Jackson County, MO.
Jimmie loved to ride motorcycles, go fishing, tell stories, sing and help others.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dale Frost, Sr.; mother, Charlene Pearl Scott; and brother Richard Dye.
