Josephine R. "Rosie" Puckett, 98, Excelsior Springs, MO, formerly of Lawson and Hamilton, MO, passed away on December 31, 2021, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center in Excelsior Springs.
Rosie was born on June 2, 1923, in Hamilton, MO, to Jesse and Maude (Hopper) Cox. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and mother.
Our beloved father, Cleo B. “CB” Tripp Jr., died at the age of 83 with family at his bedside, on Dec. 19, 2021, at Liberty Hospital.
Edward Stephen Emery, 50, Excelsior Springs, MO. passed away December 22, 2021, at Liberty Hospital. Visitation will be held 9-10am with service following Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Crescent Lake Christian Center. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to CLCC to be used towards a memorial for Edward.
Ralph J. Smart, 96, North Kansas City, MO (formerly of Rayville, MO), died December 17, 2021 at his home. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Thursday, December 23rd at Crowley Cemetery, near Rayville.
John Naylor, 75, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away on December 4, 2021 at home. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:30pm, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Rock Falls Baptist Church, Excelsior Springs, Missouri. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Mr. Naylor was born on October 21, 1946 in Roxsboro, North Carolina. John attended Excelsior Springs High School and volunteered for the Army during the Vietnam War. He was in communications and classified as a sharp shooter.
Annie Pearl Barbee, 82, Lawson, MO died Saturday Dec. 11, 2021.
Annie was born to Adrath Ronald Baker and Eula Johnson Baker.
Annie worked in the medical field, with her last employment with Dr T.R. Baldwin.
Annie was married first to Fred Williams, then was married to Max Barbee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Williams September, 2021.
Donald W. (Duck) Anderson made his journey to be with the Lord on December 9, 2021 at the home of his daughter surrounded by his loved ones. A visitation for Donald will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 1:00-2:00PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Services will be December 15, 2021 beginning at 2:00PM with a graveside service to follow at Elmira Cemetery. Don was born in Ludlow, Missouri on May 26, 1936 to Charles and Francis Anderson.
Sabra Jean Morgan, 64, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away December 1, 2021, peacefully at home.
Bruce Michael Huffman was born October 19, 1972. He went to meet the Lord on December 1, 2021.
Bruce grew up in Excelsior Springs, Mo. area and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. Bruce mainly worked in residential homes for the mentally and physically challenged young adults. A job he much enjoyed, and the young adults really liked him.
He attended St Ann Catholic Church when he was growing up.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life Billie Adams Huffman.
Local artist, Walter W. Coe, passed away on December 2 at 1:55 a.m. following a long illness.
