The defeat is part of an eight-game losing streak that also includes a 64-33 loss Feb. 2at Ruskin, a Kansas City-based school; and a 54-16 tumble Monday night tovisiting Kearney, Missouri State High School Activities Association records state. At press time, the Tigers were slated to continue their fight for their first win since Jan. 10 with a divisional meeting Thursday night against visiting Raytown South.

Excelsior Springs had to settle for fourth place in the varsity boys basketball portion of last week’s Richmond Winter Classic. The local hoopsters went 1-2 for the tournament, falling 71-43 Jan.
