LIBERTY – After Circuit Judge James Van Amburg ruled the Clay County Commission must turn over records commissioners seek to keep secret from Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway, the commission issued a statement that the ruling did not provide adequate time for appeal.
RICHMOND – Clay County Commissioners Gene Owen and Luann Ridgeway lost another bid to prevent Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway from seeing commission meeting records, based on information released Monday.
“The Missouri Constitution does not limit the auditor’s access to certain kinds of records or evidence in conducting the audit,” Clay County Circuit Judge James Van Amburg ruled after hearing from both sides in the case Oct. 23.
RICHMOND – After several people tested positive for COVID-19 and scores have possibly been in contact with those people, Richmond School District leaders ordered a three-week shutdown at Richmond High School, district Superintendent Gary Darling said late Friday afternoon.
