KEARNEY – Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative warns consumer-members in Ray, Clay, Platte and other counties of a new phone scam targeting them. The scam consists of PCEC members being falsely told the cooperative was bought out by another utility and their payments were not processed correctly due to the merger.

Tiger Bowl provides tournaments, scholarships

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Life has been rolling along at Tiger Bowl over the last three weekends, as owners Jerry and Teresa Farrell have been busy hosting various tournaments. On July 10, Gannon Davis picked up a youth six-game sweeper tournament championship. Davis received an $80 scholarship for rolling a 1,061 series on the day and a 176.8 average. Runnerup Andrew DeOrnellis finished with a 1,044 series, 174 average, and received a $56 scholarship.

Multiple media outlets have reported that Jamal Adams seeks to leave New York, rather than continue under the terms of his contact, set to expire next year.
