EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – COVID-19 is not expected to force postponement of this year’s high school graduation ceremony, unlike in 2020. Principal Christen Everett told the Board of Education a limited-attendance commencement is slated for May 14, weather permitting, with May 15 or 16 as alternate dates.

ES basketball teams out of quarantine again as districts await

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – If there is a common theme for Excelsior Springs’ basketball teams this season, it would have to be quarantining. Both the girls and boys programs finished up another round of quarantining last week.

State, Area Agencies on Aging unite on vaccines to aid seniors

JEFFERSON CITY – The state has launched a program to assist older Missourians with accessing COVID-19 vaccine. In partnership with the Department of Health and Senior Services, or DHSS, and the Missouri’s Area Agencies on Aging, or AAAs, will assist seniors with online vaccination registration, coordinate round trip transportation to and from their vaccination appointments, and conduct reminder calls for seniors’ second doses.
