Experts say rural areas not off hook for virus

ARLINGTON, Virginia – While larger urban areas may be seeing the number of coronavirus cases slow, cases in rural areas are just beginning, two experts said during a briefing from the Infectious Diseases Society of America on Tuesday.

Mary Frances (Marsh) Walters, 86 of Excelsior Springs, MO, formerly of Valley Falls, KS passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Excelsior Springs Hospital.

She was born May 13, 1933 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William R. and Mary E. (Simons) Marsh. She was raised in Valley Falls and graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1951 along with her husband-to-be, Jack Walters.
