RICHMOND – The regular food distribution effort will not take place Nov. 27 at the Salvation Army Store, 104 E. Main St., but the Salvation Army stands ready to provide Christmas boxes and a Christmas Store.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs Fire Department has three new monitors/defibrillators. The department received the LifePak 15 Version 4 monitors/defibrillators in October, following requests this summer to city officials.

LIBERTY – After six decades of effort, Clay Countians gained a new form of government by a number that overwhelmed even Constitution Commission Co-Chairman Greg Canuteson. “It’s a blowout,” Canuteson said Tuesday.

Robert “Bob” Bolin, of Excelsior Springs, passed away because of Alzheimer’s Disease at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond on Oct. 16, 2020.

William “Billy” Holtzclaw, age 82, a longtime resident of Excelsior Springs, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at Liberty Hospital.

Jerry Alan Cline, 76, of Lawson, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family in the early hours of Monday, Nov. 2, 2020.

Diane Lewis, 68, of Lawson, passed away on Oct. 31, 2020 at home.
