‘Additional’ COVID-19 cases force ESHS to temporarily go all-virtual

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – High school classes are all-virtual through Nov. 30.

Principal Christen Everett stated in an email Thursday that going all-virtual was necessary because theExcelsior Springs School District had learned that day of confirmed COVID-19 cases at the school among“additional individuals.” Everett also stated that those who had tested positive had been at school Tuesday and extracurricular events Wednesday night.

Fire department gets monitors/defibrillators

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs Fire Department has three new monitors/defibrillators. The department received the LifePak 15 Version 4 monitors/defibrillators in October, following requests this summer to city officials.
THE EXCELSIOR SPRINGS Fire Department is cleared by the City Council to buy new models to replace LifePak monitor/defibrillation units.
