KANSAS CITY – Two girls will represent Excelsior Springs next weekend in state wrestling competition. Senior Jacey Brewer and junior Vada Burton both placed second at last weekend’s District 4 Tournament at Oak Park High School to punch their respective tickets to the girls state tournament at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Alyce Ann Hutchison of Richmond, MO passed away on Feb. 1, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital Hospice House after a short battle with cancer. She was 49 years old.

Ronald Pummill, 76, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022.

Mr. Pummill was born on Jan. 14, 1946, in Kansas City, MO. He was of Lutheran faith and a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He was confirmed on March 26, 1961, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kansas City, MO.
