The Excelsior Standard, July 14, 2023 Policarpo “Paul” “Carpio” Oliva, age 63, of Excelsior Springs passed away Sunday morning, July 2, 2023, at home in Excelsior Springs. Paul was born on May 30, 1960, the son of Joseph Alvarez and Guadalupe Oliva in Kansas City.
A season-ending injury sidelined Klayton Glaspy physically, but not emotionally. Glaspy, a junior-to-be at Excelsior Springs, saw his high school varsity baseball season cut short on May 9, when Excelsior Springs faced Raytown South at Ray South.
