A Ray County judge has ordered a new warrant and higher bond after an Excelsior Springs woman tested positive for drugs for the second time while awaiting trial on felony sex abuse charges. The judge also noted intentions to revoke bond at an Oct. 17 probation violation hearing.Desiree A. Alexander, 37, is charged with nine felonies and one misdemeanor from a 2022 case, including three counts of first-degree rape or attempted rape, two counts of abuse or neglect of a child, and one count each of first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy, incest, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree attempted sexual abuse and first-degree sexual misconduct.Court records show the most recent positive result came at a Sept. 19 hearing.
