Pit bull ban discussion continues

Out with old, in with new records for city departments

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Some city agencies freed space to store records. Per a resolution passed March 21 by the City Council at the Hall of Waters, the Excelsior Springs Police Department received permission to shred some records March 25.
Students share poetry

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – On March 7, the City Council approved Fire Chief Joe Maddick’s request for $95,620 to replace the fire station’s concrete apron. The City Council’s approval while meeting at the Hall of Waters followed the Capital Improvements Authority’s approval Feb.
City’s search for new planner begins

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The city seeks a new planner, Economic Development Director Melinda Mehaffy told city leaders during a March 18 work session at the Hall of Waters. The last planner left March 9 to work in the private sector, Mehaffy said.
