Janet Irene Gable
Janet Irene (Litle) Gable, 65, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at her residence.
She was born on Thursday, April 26, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Leland and Hazel (née Glass) Litle. She married Gerald Gable on Aug. 31, 1973, at the First Methodist Church, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Janet graduated from Excelsior Springs High School, and attended Excelsior Springs Vo-Tech, studying Sales and Distribution Education and Early Childhood Development. She loved her kids and grandkids.
She spent 10 years in the scouting program. She loved camping, fishing, swimming, boating, and traveling. Together, her and her husband traveled throughout the US, her favorite places being South Dakota and Colorado Springs. She enjoyed the mountains and the beaches. She spent a lot of time in Branson at Table Rock Lake. She had a lot of friends near Stockton Lake, and they spent a lot of weekends there. However, the deepest love she had was for her grandkids and she enjoyed watching their games and activities.
Survivors Include husband, Gerald Gable, of Excelsior Springs, MO; son, Brian (Joann) Gable, of Kearney MO; granddaughter, Ava Gable; granddaughter, Alicia Gable; grandson, Cooper Gable; son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Gable, of Doylestown PA; grandson, Joshua Dunckley; granddaughter, Hannah Dunckley; grandson, Landon Gable; grandson, Brayden Gable; daughter, Brandi Gable, of Kansas City MO; mother, Hazel Litle; brother, Donald Litle; sister, Candi Falconer; and sister, Penny Wilson.
In addition to her father, Janet was preceded in death by her grandparents; brother, David Litle; nephew, Corey Falconer; and Marie Overman, her very best friend.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, from 3 - 4:30 p.m. at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. The Funeral followed at 4:30 p.m. Janet's burial took place on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. at Windy Hill Cemetery. Services were officiated by Mark Spohn. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be direct to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
