Steven Wayne Carder, 58, of Kansas City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Aug. 17, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital with family near.   

He was an Excelsior Springs High School Alumni graduating in 1982.  

He leaves behind a daughter, Caitlin Krenke; son-in-law Forrest Krenke; two granddaughters, Averie, 6, and Paislee, 2; sister, Shelly Carder Griggs; and brother-in-law, James Griggs. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth “Wayne” Carder, who passed in November of 2011; his mother, Carol Jean (Watson) Carder, who passed in September of 2011; and two grandparents, Kenneth W. Carder and Edna B (Waters) Carder. 

Steve enjoyed farming, building his dream semi “Poison Ivy” for hauling grain. Steve worked as an Owner Operator truckdriver, just like his father did. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, everyone looked forward to his “World Famous” brisket and pulled pork. The most precious time was spent with his daughter and two granddaughters, Averie and Paislee, and all the adventures they went on with him. 

A celebration of life will be announced for a later date.
