The prevailing sentiment noticed on social media is a palpable enthusiasm for the arrival of fall and the spooky season. However, my wholehearted dissent from the prevailing sentiment that summer should come to an end must be expressed.

On social media, it’s common to come across posts where people express their disdain for their jobs or their eagerness to leave work at the end of the day. When encountering such posts on platforms like Facebook or TikTok, it serves as a reminder of how fortunate I am to love my job genuinely.

As a passionate sports enthusiast, I am eagerly anticipating the upcoming NFL football season. I have some cherished traditions when it comes to watching these games.

As the annual celebration of American workers’ social and economic achievements approaches, I can’t help but reminisce about the tradition I share with my family. This year, we are commemorating the 130th anniversary of Labor Day.

Labor Day weekend is widely considered the unofficial swan song of summer. Though millions of children return to school prior to Labor Day weekend, the final holiday of summer still marks an ending to the season of relaxation and a return to the hustle and bustle of life when the temperatures dip and schedules fill up.

As the new school year draws near, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions. I feel a sense of melancholy at the thought of my daughter, Aurora, stepping out into the world on her own, but I am also bursting with pride at the confident little girl she has become.

As the summer season draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the idea of taking my passion for volleyball to new heights. At the moment, I’m actively involved in two sand volleyball leagues - one at the Elks Lodge and the other at the Sandbox.

My beloved grandfather will soon celebrate his 90th birthday and I’m happy to be helping organize a surprise party. My mother and I have been diligently planning a surprise celebration for him at our local church.
