Biermann-Kennedy team ties for fourth at scramble
Seniors Landon Biermann and Tayvion Kennedy were a top-five combo when they paired up for Excelsior Springs at the Platte County Pirate Scramble.Biermann and Kennedy shot a 69 to tie for fourth at the April 1 varsity boys golf competition, held at Shiloh Springs Golf Course in Platte City. In doing so, they helped Excelsior Springs place third in the team standings with a 145 – 15 strokes behind Pirate Scramble champion Kearney and eight strokes behind runner-up Platte County. Sophomores Lane Overholtzer and Landon Cramer completed the team score by shooting a 76 – good for 11th place.Juniors Jameson Bright and Brighton Hibschle comprised Excelsior Springs’ No. 3 tandem, shooting a 95 to finish 27th.Following the Pirate Scramble, the Excelsior Springs boys played in the Winnetonka Tournament April 3 at Hodge Park Golf Course in Kansas City, where Overholtz...
