ALMOST A HAT TRICK Kinley Rogers was almost unbeatable in the throwing events at the Mineral Water Classic.Rogers, who’s set to graduate high school this month from Excelsior Springs, won the discus and shot put at the April 24 track and field meet at Tiger Stadium. Her throw of 37.7 meters clinched the discus title. She threw 12.37 to win the shot put.Rogers also finished second in the javelin, throwing 39.01.Rogers was among three Excelsior Springs girls to place in the top four. The Tigers got fourth-place finishes from Kayden Rogers and Josie Casler in the pole vault and javelin, respectively.Marques Shouse led the Excelsior Springs boys, taking second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 100. Overall, the boys produced a top-four finisher in five events, taking third in the 400 and 800 relays, and getting a fourthplace finish from Tyler Wartner in the high jump....
