ES bowlers tie for 2nd
LEE’S SUMMIT – Excelsior Springs rolled its way to a tie for second place in February in a club bowling tournament at Summit Lanes in Lee’s Summit.
The Tigers rolled a 289 in their first game, then followed that with a 231. For their third and fourth games, they rolled a 150 and 163, respectively.
Excelsior Springs rolled a 185 in its fifth game. The Tigers combined for a 244 in their sixth game and a 191 in their seventh.
The Tigers bowled a 196 in their eighth game and finished with a 201 in their ninth game.
Fort Osage of Independence took the tournament title with 1,964 pins for the day. The Tigers and Park Hill of Kansas City accumulated 1,850 pins each.
