Excelsior Springs has piled up the runs lately in varsity softball.Counting Monday’s rout of visiting Winnetonka, the Tigers had outscored their opponents 37-18 over their last three games. That stretch included the last week of September, when the girls went 1-1, spreading Raytown South 14-0 in five innings Sept. 24 at Excelsior Springs and falling 18-10 Sept. 26 at Smithville.Kinley Rogers led Excelsior Springs past Ray South, going 2-for-3. Both of her hits were home runs. The junior’s stat line also included five RBIs.Other contributors on offense included juniors Josie Casler and Kayden Rogers, who had three hits each.Courtney James and Jenna Thomas pitched a combined one-hitter.
