Fall prep sports get underway at ESHS

Fall sports practices have begun at Excelsior Springs High School.Per Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) regulations, practices began Monday. Student-athletes must get in 14 practices before being eligible to participate in a regular-season competition, MSHSAA regulations state.Like previous school years, the Tigers will compete in the following fall sports: football, volleyball, softball, boys soccer, girls golf, cross country and girls tennis.A few Excelsior Springs programs have preseason jamborees scheduled for next week. The varsity football team, for example, is slated for a 6 p.m. Aug. 23 jamboree at Cameron, school district information states.
