With senior Mallory Millsap sinking a two-point bucket and a free throw, and Rylie Stottlemyre scoring four points, Excelsior Springs trailed 9-7 after one quarter. But then, the Tigers went on a nearly 12-minute scoring drought from the remainder of the first quarter until early in the third quarter, including a 16-0 second quarter. Stottlemyre and Millsap put Excelsior Springs on the board again in the third quarter, with the two combining for seven points once again.
