Varsity volleyball season is underway at Excelsior Springs.The Tigers opened with a 3-0 loss Tuesday at Oak Park in Kansas City. The girls were scheduled to finish this week with matches Wednesday at Oak Grove and Thursday by hosting North Kansas City. They’re set to play three stand-alone matches next week before playing Sept. 14 in the Chillicothe Invitational Tournament.To prepare for the season, the girls held their Black and Gold Scrimmage Aug. 28 in the Excelsior Springs High School gym.
