ES Historic Preservation Commission is taking nominations

The Excelsior Springs Historic Preservation Commission is accepting nominations for their Historic Preservation Awards Program. Awards will be given for two categories, Commercial and Residential. Property owners who have made significant improvements to historic properties may be nominated by anyone in the community.
THE RESIDENTIAL AWARD winner in 2022 was the property at 407 E. Broadway Avenue.

Scrap tire grant replaces picnic tables

The Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation Department has received a scrap tire grant, allowing the department to replace picnic tables at Siloam Mountain Park. The grant, made available from Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will also provide for a handicap accessible picnic table to be placed at each gazabo in the park.
SCRAP TIRE GRANT funds were used to replace old picnic tables at Siloam Mountain Park. The grant also will provide for handicap-accessible picnic tables to be placed at each gazebo in the park. Burton takes sixth at girls state tourney

Excelsior Springs boys hoopsters end skid

Excelsior Springs ended the regular season of varsity boys basketball with a win – and started the postseason with one. The Tigers were slated to face Odessa Wednesday night in the Class 4 District 15 Tournament semifinals at Oak Grove.
